Nurse
Welcome to the Bandelier Health Office!
Katherine Jackson, School Nurse, and Megan Neeson, Health Assistant, here to welcome you all to a new and unique school year!
Our mission is to create a safe and healthy environment for children to learn and grow.
The Health Office will join with teachers, counselors, and staff in providing holistic services that consider the whole child and their family and/or community in our delivery of care. We provide screenings (visual, hearing, dental, etc), case management of chronic illnesses, immunization review, care of acute illnesses, and a safe and comforting place to rest when feeling ill to name a few of our services. We also have lots of Band-Aids, ice packs, and Nurse Crackers!!
The Nurse/Health Office is in the middle of the main hall across from the office and we will be present during school hours (9:15am to 4:00pm) each day. Occasionally the RN or HA will need to be out for staff meetings or professional development meetings in which case we will have arranged coverage; and, will be a phone call away.
Our health office is not a replacement for your usual provider (MD, NP, PA) or emergency services. If this is a medical crisis or emergency please call your provider or 911!
Sick Day Guidelines
If you believe you may be experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, call the NM Department of Health Hotline at 1-855-600-3453. If you feel you are in emotional or mental health crisis, contact the NM Crisis Line at 1-855-662-7474 (1-855-NMCRISIS).
Check out our silly video from last year's Remote Learning Time. Since it works as a great "welcome-to-the-health-office" visual tour of our space we're keeping it here going forward! (October 2021)

Access Your Shot Records
Did you know… you can now print your own vaccination records at www.VaxViewNM.org.
VaxViewNM.org enables individuals, parents, and guardians to access, save and/or print official immunization records. This eliminates the need to carry multiple or aged documents and allows you to access your shot record anytime you need. VaxViewNM.org is mobile friendly and uses two-factor authentication.
Please ask your child's immunization provider to be sure to enter your correct contact information in to "NMSIIS" when recording the vaccine. If site does not work for you, it is because they do not have this information. If this happens call the NMSIIS Help Desk at 1-833-882-6454.
